The OneWorldAnchor Student Research Competition is a STEM research competition for students to showcase their outstanding research achievements. This is a unique opportunity for students to develop effective and essential science communication skills. Through presentation, feedback, and interaction with judges, students gain valuable experience to take with them throughout their careers. Those who are able to communicate the value of their research to a broad audience are at an advantage in terms of building financial and social support for their future work in the research enterprise.
The competition will consist of two rounds. All participants will send in their research abstracts during the first round. The abstracts will be reviewed and a few selected participants will be contacted to submit the rest of their research project during the second round. Submissions addressing research topics from the following disciplines are all welcomed:
Physics and Astronomy
Research ideas addressing community improvement are preferred.
First Place - $300
Second Place - $150
Third Place - $75
All participants get award certificates.
Round 1 Submission deadline: June 30, 2022
Round 1 Result: July 10th, 2022
Round 2 Submission deadline: August 10th, 2022
Round 2 Result and Virtual Event: August 17, 2022
Round 1: Please submit a one-page research abstract describing your project.
Round 2: A Slideshow and/or video presentation about the research project.
